DENTAL IMPLANTS

Title

Dental implants, made of titanium alloy, act as tooth roots.  A post screwed into the implant protrudes through the gum tissue on which a porcelain restoration is placed.  Single implants can be used to replace a missing tooth, and multiple implants can be placed to support fixed bridges replacing several teeth.  Through careful placement of dental implants, the need for removal dentures can be eliminated.  Implants are also used to anchor partial and complete dentures.

The availability of adequate bone to support an implant is the most important requirement for successful dental implants.  Dr. Grieshober works together with local oral surgeons and periodontists to insure your implants are placed correctly to adequately support your new restorations.
